For cyclists

At Les Gravets, whether you're on a stopover for a touring holiday or a star or daisy holiday, where you put down your panniers and set off for the day, we'll be able to offer you a programme of discovery adapted to your technique, your level and your desires.

Alain, a keen mountain biker, is on hand to show you around on 2 wheels. We've put together a number of routes (from 10 to 100 km) that you can choose from, depending on what you want to do and how fit you are at the time.

Let yourself be guided and enjoy the lush green landscapes of the Sud-Gironde, between Bazas and La Réole, between Langon and Marmande, between the orchards of the Lot et Garonne and the forests of the Landes de Gascogne. Discover the Lac de la Prade in Bazas or the Lac des 3 rives between Aillas and Sigalens, the hillsides of the Entre 2 Mers or the Marmandais. There's also the green route of the Canal Latéral à la Garonne, starting at Castets en Dorthe and passing through Meilhan-sur-Garonne.

A GPS unit with all the routes is at your disposal, departure and arrival at the Maison d'hôtes des Gravets, followed by a well-deserved rest by the pool or in the shade of the cherry tree.

In Group

Are you a group of friends, hikers or cyclists looking for a cycling and hiking break? We also offer group accommodation for up to 14 people, with table d'hôtes and a full discovery programme.
Whether you're a works council, a large tribe, a hiking club or a group of friends, we're here to help you find the right solution.

Good practices

Preparing for a hike
To make the most of your nature outing, leave nothing to chance. For your own safety and that of the environment you'll be visiting, choose a marked itinerary suited to your physical condition, and let us know about it before you set off. Find out what you need to know, and adapt your outing to your needs, as nature here can be both private and protected. You'll set off with peace of mind, well equipped and well shod (that goes without saying!).

In the heart of nature, you're never alone
In this fragile forest, 80% of which is privately owned, it is essential to follow the signposted paths. Foresters, hunters and walkers use this forest just like you. If you respect the forest and know its rules, you'll be able to share its riches and benefits for longer. To avoid getting lost or accidentally entering someone's home, stick to the marked paths and curb your creativity: the forest doesn't need any new paths!

Don't share everything, disconnect
We all want this place to stay the way it is... To avoid it being over-visited, if you share your photos or your experience (e.g. a race) on the internet, remember to uncheck the geolocation box and only highlight developed spots and signposted routes.
To find out more
"Outdoor j'adore" is an awareness-raising campaign run by the Landes de Gascogne Regional Nature Park and the tourist offices in the Ecodestination area.

Faced with the growing number of visitors to natural environments, some of whom are far removed from the realities of outdoor activities, the vulnerability of the region to certain risks (particularly fire) and the rising accident rate, everyone is in a position to adapt their behaviour so that they can enjoy their discovery or activity in peace and minimise their impact on nature.
